I'm Not the Saint, so I'll Just Leisurely Make Food at the Royal Palace - Ch. 3

Barricade that door with as much furniture as you can. Once you become a pedophile there's no going back

Can't believe they don't even know how to make broth, would not trade magic for cooking if that's the case

I really have to stop reading foody-type stories before lunch/dinner. My stomach is killing me right now and there's still 2 more hours until I can get food 😰😭

I said this last chapter, but I'll say it again. I want to squish her cheeks.

@KathyClysm Better than reading it after lunch/dinner. You have all this craving and "hunger" but no stomach space.

At least 2 hrs before is still enough time to make reservations at the nearest restaurant/cafe/etc (provided there is no 'quarantine'. Right now, bad example)

It's a fun story so far and I like the characters, but I have to turn my brain off to accept that these people wouldn't know about yeast or how to make broth like please

also the concept of cream/milk stew/soup is really unappetizing to me. it probably tastes fine, but the idea of it is really off-putting

I know in these types of stories, that their food is very plain and trying new foods is surprising for them. But I always dislike how they react; it always over the top and everyone has loves it. Nobody seems to have different tastes they just all love everything new to them.

@Charasander The words "milk stew" is weird, in the U.S. soups that use cream or milk are just called stews. You can see in here that she makes a bechamel rather than just adding milk in, which is typical for stews made with cream. It actually just gives a creamy texture, I'd describe the texture as basically a looser version of an alfredo sauce (alfredo sauce is also made with a bechamel, so if you have had that the flavor is similar, just without certain flavors depending on what you've added to it).

@RozuArison08 If you're just trying to make a flavorful broth it can save time to just boil the aromatics whole and just cutting them up afterwards once they're soft. In the cases of onions and garlic, sometimes you put the whole thing in and then just remove them entirely afterwards because the flavor will disperse into the broth after a long cooking time so they're not needed to be readded into the pot.

I'm the Witch, OK, so I'll Just Leisurely Make Food at the Royal Palace

Aaah I like it.
Thank you for translating this manga.
