At least no more a sociopath than regular soldiers who get desensitized to violence. Looks like his entire life up until now has been spent defending that place from wayward adventurers.

But why?

Weird behaviour, I can only assume it’s because elves are normally referred to as spirit folk and she just assumed her racial class meant she was closer.

@Add1152000 either that or like overreaction. She doesn't know him or his relationship with spirits. Perhaps, she thought that the spirit that was with him was his contracted spirit and she thought that he's just another guest in the village, so, yeah, she told him like what was with your attitude in someone else's home.

How poetic would it be if this jackass got his ass handed to him if an S-rank party showed up due to all these "disappearances". Won't happen though, since he's the MC. He'll probably pull out a trump card out his ass without any context as to him ever having said trump card. Would be nice for him to eat dirt though...
