In Another World where Baseball is War, a High School Ace Player will Save a Weak Nation - Ch. 7

@Greyhood Hard to say without knowing the full batting roster... but based on what's said,
most likely the team has only three good batters including the MC... so he sweeps the two likely to get on base, and insures that even if they get outs instead there's a chance to score in the first inning, which puts the most pressure on Yuuri and such. In baseball, like war, demoralizing your opponent can be a huge advantage... putting them off-kilter can make them hesitate, choke, or rush. It messes with rythm. This can potentially make it more likely for other players to get a hit as well, though that's not the point (though as you just saw, it helped MC get a clean homerun).

The real point is to have the best chance to score as many runs as quickly as possible both to demoralize the opponent, and to get to the "mercy" rule as fast as possible, to reduce the opportunity for the dogs to score, and make sure he doesn't overly strain himself by trying to pitch a perfect 9-inning game (an extra 12 batters at minimum to have to go through compared to getting "mercy" in the 5th). As a side note: Demoralizing is undoubtedly part of why Wolfsmund kept going despire their massive lead in runs in that first match we saw. Either that or the author did it without thinking about the rule.

@Tsenzei Although I'm not the one asking the question, it is certainly helped me gain some wisdom for me to understand at least a part of why Author decided to do what he did. For that, I thank you.

The manga is interesting. I only ever watched an anime about baseball and that was a long time ago, never read. It's probably the 'OPness' of the MC that made me interested in reading this, but the baseball part has certainly grabbed my attention. That said, I wonder if the Author would add a little bit of 'drama' in the next chapter or something, as the story so far felt like a setup to something.

@Greyhood They need to score, and get three outs, so if the first two struck out, they needed at least one point. Also, they need him in a position to get the dwarf girl home if she gets on base, because as they said, she's slow.

So Ati is Nina's daughter, huh.

Although it's a nice way to expand the worldbuilding and showcase different team dynamics, I don't think I've ever seen them interact as mother and duaghter until now.

Short-stack half-dwarf waifu wasn't something I knew I needed until now.

Thanks isekai baseball manga!

No one's talking about the fact that the poor dwarf girl was getting hit with fucking baseballs. Like damn dude those would hurt. If she wasn't a dwarf she may have gotten really injured.

I decided to see the raw images for ch8 & 9.

And damn, either Taichi is crazy strong or that Drake lizard is just weak in comparison to our peak human strength. Still satisfying to see our boy twisting that lizard's arm like a twig after everything he's done to the half dwarf girl and the wolves. Oh, and intentionally threw the game against the rabbits when he was still the pitcher of Freedom before Krusche had to take over after that betrayal.
