Ummm .... I was confuzzled for a moment until I realized that both her father AND her mother were in that flashback. The father gave his life to try and protect the wife who was already bruised and tattered. He's not a typical creep who took his daughter for his wife ... you've all been reading too much manga LMAO. Then again with THIS story, I wouldn't put it past the author LOL.
