I know I’ve said it in like every previous chapter, but I really just can’t feel any connection to Kyouichirou... I seriously don’t know what it is but it’s making it so much harder to enjoy a series I want to enjoy and think is objectively pretty good, or at the very least okay.

@Wreavant I agree with you, and I think the main reason is that the series can't decide who the main character is. Is about Kyouichirou? Is it about Senya? Is it about the Oni Girl? It shifts focus between all the characters and doesn't really do a good job of developing any of them.

Now there are series that manage to have multiple "main" characters and develop all of them excellently (Sengoku Youko is the gold standard for this imo), but this one just doesn't have the writing strong enough to do that. There's a lot of potential here, but I think it's a bit too scattered unfortunately.
