@chenando1 not really. at its simplist, all you need is an oil and a base (pH > 7, adds hydroxide ions to water when dissolved, lye and baking soda are both bases)

Looks like all you add is water, lye, baking soda, oil... instead of oil, you could use scented butter, but that's more of a luxury I don't expect to be accessible to him.
