@tigerstar186 it was clear that Dibel WAS powerful, but wasn't used to fighting that could fight back against him. He could easily take out a squad of soldiers single handledly with brute strength and in a battlefield sway the course of a battle with his presence.

The fight certainly could have been better, it's true, but it's a fairly clear cut way of showing the difference between the two.

@tigerstar186 He isn't actually that skilled but has great power thanks to his blessing. If you can cleave a guy in two, sword, armor and horse all, you don 't really need skill ... and probably won't develop any either. Almus, who can do the same, actually got himself some training and is considerable more patient than the shitstain which is why the fight ended up being so onesided. Though I admit I too would have preferred a more exiting fight.

Oh man, its as if the author knew people would complain about the MC not killing Rigar despite setting up the "surrendering is worse than death" prior to the duel, and spelled out exactly why it works out better, and how the MC actually did want ti kill Rigar.
