MC should really get Charlotte to use a lighter weapon and armor. Granted the armor is really strong, but it's not going to do much against crushing damage from something like a hammer, mace, or a giant lizard's tail. Especially if it gets pulled off like the low level goblins were doing before MC found the warhorse. While it's good she's respectful and looks up to her ancestor, but both are a poor match for her low strength and were custom made for a man that was bigger and stronger than her. She's doing the equivalent of a cleric or mage with high intelligence and wisdom trying to use gear don't have the strength for. Should also point out to her that it was her ancestor's personal ability that allowed him to kill a dragon with the sword and not any special blessings or enchantments on the sword itself. Not to mention, if she places all belief in the sword what is she going to do if it breaks or gets sent flying?
Speaking of equipment, MC should check the book on some HP boosting items or (recipes for) potions that can increase his HP.
