Isekai ni Tobasareta Ossan wa Doko e Iku? - Vol. 3 Ch. 18 - Ossan Accepts Requests in the Other World

I can already sense it.
<<[[{{ Superior Japanese Cuisine }}]]>>
That has to be his answer.

He should present a japanese toilet with automatic anus cleaning, although he'd need a hookup to a water supply, maybe a water tank in the castle. And maybe super luxurious 5 ply super soft toilet paper that's soft on the anus.

Superior Nippon Chocolate-covered Berries

Seriously, do writers think that people were stupid in medieval times? We only have the foods we do now because our ancestors tried every combination of foods to see which ones worked.

...
hmm, maybe raisin / berries inside chocolate ?
Or ...
Alcohol from berries inside chocolate ?

both is common and famous type of snack in this world ...

Wait? How do they have chocolate? I hate how they take the culture of 1600s Europe with the governance, military, agriculture of 900-1200s Europe.

It's fine when it makes no difference to the story being told, but it really sicks out when they try to make plot points connected to these issues.

@Ametroid pretty sure he isn't the first "otherworlder" to come over to this world so one of em might have made chocolate and the super god tier item [[WHITE RICE]]

so I'm guessing he is gonna make some chocolate bar that is infused with berries or something?

@AMetroid Development isn't linear. Lots of cultures had things at different times and figured stuff out at different paces. Some looked for answers in ways others didn't or had resources others didn't. Thats why Japanese swords exist, bad iron forced the issue. Unless there is some massive technological leap needed for chocolate there is no reason they can't have it in this world.

If you google chocolate you can see that it was something at its core older than you give it credit. Making it solid blocks is really the only issue you seem to have but remember that this isn't exactly like the past of our world. This world made chocolate before other things. You don't even really know the quality of it btw or its composition.

Taken from googles history of chocolate wiki answer.

The history of chocolate began in Mesoamerica. Fermented beverages made from chocolate date back to 450 BC. The Aztecs believed that cacao seeds were the gift of Quetzalcoatl, the god of wisdom, and the seeds once had so much value that they were used as a form of currency.

@Merilirem
I was going to write a text to refute you but I will not spend my time more than necessary for what I will tell you, NO, you are wrong about chocolate, cocoa and for believing that Japanese authors care about congruence, where chocolate should already exist as it is currently known as it was quickly accepted by all European cultures adopted in all branches of these (cooking, trade, medicine, ...), we now see that it is treated as something cheap and a Japanese creating it.

Btw people chocolate used to be expensive as hell back in the day and in ancient times 4 to 7 slaves in the aztec culture used to be worth around 6 cocoa beans

@Wnf
@Merilirem
You're missing the point. It's not that chocolate exists(it's been around for a while, I know), it's the logistics involved/needed to make it available. Coco from the tropics available in northern temperate climates to the common people, to the point that they know what it is, is going to require some advance boat making technology.
The incongruity of the tech needed for trade(in this case) not being present in other things is what I was trying to point out.
