Isekai Omotenashi Gohan - Vol. 4 Ch. 18 - Great Elemental Tree and the Family Dining Table (First Part) ①

So wait, she ran out of all her ingredients at the same time? Because there was no mention of even running low until now...

thanks for the update!
i wonder how they're gonna continue without those ingredients

I get that being a priestess is stressful. But you aren't a ten year old, don't throw a tantrum like one.

Remember when Hiyori got all whiny about whether or not they would be leaving that world when the time came?

I thought they had already solved this plot point? Didn't they give her plenty of supernatural guests that kept replinishing her stockpiles? Wasnt there a god that summoned stuff too?

What a brat. This isn't like moving to Nigeria and missing Playstation 4. At least if you move to Nigeria you can have a PS4 shipped to you. You're in another world completely. Who's gonna regularly deliver PS4 games to you?

Hiyori's throwing a fit and it's definitely immature, but I think it's quite a good snapshot of her relationship with her sister and exactly why Akane and everyone else worries about her the way they do.

Hiyori's super dependent on Akane. Akane is probably the only person in the world that she would pitch a fit in front of, because Akane is an existence that's supposed to pamper her. The same way you might behave like a regular functioning adult most of the time, but then regress into a childish pile of goo when you visit your parents.

This has been and has always been the main conflict of the story. The isekai savior...got summoned with what's basically her mom. Hiyori hasn't been able to completely grow up because Akane's been there for her to fall back on. I think having the issue be this up and front means it's almost time for them to resolve it and for Hiyori to let go of her sister and become more independent, and not just discuss the possibility of it like they did a while back.

@Kevadu If you reread, you can see some mentions here and there. Like when Akane served sake because they were running low on beer, or how she had to go looking for plums since she wanted to replenish her wine and pickled plums store, or when the king suggested she open a restaurant in that world, but she points out that her ingredients are finite.

yeah, no good shouting like that but who cries over food??? That homemade food may taste like ~family and comfort~ but No matter how hard your duties are first and most you say Thank You to the person who cooked for you everyday, not act like a spoiled child over something that was predictable....

Sorry needed to get this of from my chest

I get that being a priestess in the front line is very difficult and life threatening but if you're acting like a spoiled little bitch then you're not qualified to be a priestess in the first place. You deserved that yell.

Wasn't that dryad able to grow edamame? Then would it be able to grow other crops...

@lexy Even if she isn't normally at the threshold of being a big brat, maybe she just had a really bad day and had her expectations dashed at the worst possible time.

Less about just moving to nigeria and missing ps4 and more of forcibly moved to foreign region to do taxing and dangerous duty but your only reprieve you allowed to carry your entire home with you. Now that home is less of a "home" as they started to run out of comfort food and stuff.
To note, despite all the fluffy stuff in the series, all of the priestess predecessor died in the line of duty. There is entire arc about dwarf that refuse to make ship so the kingdom could send another priestess to die.
surviving the priestesshood till the start of island quest is enough to be considered as a saint and that saint died on the island quest that hiyori about to embark... So yeah, the stress is real.
