Isekai Tensei ni Kansha o - Vol. 2 Ch. 10

man this is the one series i cant seem to find the raws lmao im guessing they actually bought the volumes

and OH boy was i waiting for more info on Aria ever since i saw her on that cover page of the chapter with her in purple armor and that weird spear looking wep, she looked fucking amazing/badass

I love how they are telling the story. They are not focusing too much on the main character, and instead, they focus on the people around the main character. It gives the world more life making the characters more dynamic instead of just plain static character that most isekai manga uses.

@Purplejam
Right! Part of it might be MC's age, I think. Rather than making it about his adventures, they make it about the people around him. Since we've already "seen" his life - 70 years of it - through flashbacks, now we're seeing a new world through his eyes. The adventures of others around him.

It's a fun SOL premise, and honestly it being an isekai doesn't even really matter that much. No rice-chasing, no katana-fetishizing, and all of those other tropes - just fluffy fantasy goodness.

Learning about the side characters is great and I'm all for it....but even for a 'slice of life' this pacing is horrible. The story is literally nor progressing because there is more backstory than present time stuff. The part that makes it even more annoying though is because nothing has moved along it doesn't even feel like there's any -reason- to developing these side characters other than to say "Look at their problem that MC fixed by being a wizened old man"

no, the MC is just a storyteller or w/e

I was deceived expecting any kind of story with the MC, it's just a short stories book it seems

We are still at Chapter 1 right? It really is a bit much of backstory at once :x, well, better then no backstory to the side chars, but even so. (And why do have ALL side chars sad backstories, is this a world where no single good life exists? :O)

MC: Approaches random character
2 chapters of flashback ensue

Tbh, though, this manga does it really well and actually emotionally connects the audience to characters, which is really really rare for an Isekai

How the heck...
How is it possible... I actually genuinely thought to myself "Great, another flashback!".

Well, that's a first.

Flashback man!
Solving everyone's problems (everyone meaning only women) by peeking in to their deepest darkest past!
The hero everyone needs (only women of course) and depending on the hot meter, deserves!
