Isekai wo Seigyo Mahou de Kirihirake! - Vol. 2 Ch. 11 - Confrontation

Yeah, Japan's interpretation of kobolds is kind of all over the place between basically Sera and these werewolf lookin' ones. Varying degrees of dog or wolf person. But the general interpretation of kobolds is all over the place to begin with. Here's ye olde kobold from German folklore. Here's D&D's take on them over multiple versions of their game rules. World of Warcraft has these guys. There's plenty more, too, I'm sure. Like I said the chapter before this one, plenty of "Our Kobolds Are Different" trope potential.

Dang, they sure do like to say boss a lot.

On a side note, I wonder what influenced Japan so much that they pretty much always use the dog/wolf version of a kobold instead of the lizard/dragon kind. Their orcs are almost always pigmen as well, which is quite different than what we usually see.
