Isshou Sukitte Yutta jan - Vol. 1 Ch. 5 - One Flower

so a-ko ended up committing suicide herself. The way the author wrote this, it seemed weirdly close to home as if they themselves had some sort of simliar experience.

Nice one shot

3 am’s a good time to be depressed.

Similar to A-ko, I knew someone who was as eccentric and poetic as her. But now that I look back, she was neither. Once you’re with someone long enough, you’ll eventually see the world through their eyes and find that they’re actually simple and honest.
The only thing I still regret is not being able to say the right words she wanted or needed to hear. Not that I’d know what those were.
I’m gonna go back to sleep.

Call me dumb but I didn't quite understand what leatherman was trying to say, or explain.
Is it that A-ko knew where and when to said "No" and doesn't let herself get carried by the flow of things, or that of other people?

"an exhibitionist man in turtle shell bondage saved me"

is my life so boring I have never been approached by a crossdresser only to be saved by a person in bondage? I think I need to reevaluate my life

This oneshot doesn't deliver any meaningful message of measurable depth whatsoever.
Oneshots are already weak in the developmental side, so this one came out rather bland.
Meh.

I don't think it's supposed to deliver some grand message about life; it's just about a girl who inspired the mangaka to be the artist she is today, and she finally felt ready to tell that story (maybe with some liberties added?). I think she wrote it intentionally in a way to show the naivety and innocence of both A-ko and her younger self, searching for some poetic meaning in life when in actuality it was just a sad, unfortunate situation.

@Hamin well it was mentioned this was based on author's experience

I assume A-ko is just an acronym of the real name of the person like saying person A instead of the real name

The story moved lightning fast, but then the last page reveals that this is based on the author's own experiences. Wow! I can't imagine ever experiencing something like that myself.

Damn, i loved kuzu no honkai and im just now reading the authors other work. All her mangas are very personal. I hope she releases more stuff

Man, How Traumatic it would have been for Her, If She Wouldn't have met A-ko , She wouldn't have have been the Mangaka she is now.
