If this was in any degree realistic—the next panel/page would be a burst attack where the MC fatally injures the baddy—possibly by decapitation or stabbing him through the heart.

Unfortunately, I sense plot armor & unnecessary delays in order to create unnecessary tragedy/attempts at tension. Sadly, the MC is too overpowered, thus making this approaching death, just like those townsfolk, unnecessary and gorey. Bleh.
