OH! I FIGURED IT OUT! On page 11 Hermes and enyaba are NOT rock humans. They are there to be compared with the others so you can see that it is impossible to see the difference between them just by their appearance.

It would be kool if the rock humans were made of different rocks in different areas so in Egypt they could be Sandstone or near a volcano they could be made of a volcanic rock
