I actually expected her to go "I was dumbed but I don't even remember falling for him." or something but apparently her liking him was a thing? Why? When he appears to be such a douche bag.

OKKK, I didn't have many expectations on this story but now I do! This is getting more and more interesting, ty >u<
About why she's hurt about the breakup, idk, but I try to put myself on her place and I imagine that maybe her parents and all the elders surrounding her were telling her since always that they're meant to get married or that he's the only one for her, so maybe all those expectations made her think in his with a different light, trying to ignore his bad side because that's what her family wanted, etc. etc. That's not real love, but is still some deep feeling of attachment. Ofc it must hurt.
