There is just one issue that the author obviously overlooked.
The issue with this chapter is the part that the animals turn into humanoid form at night.
The camel becomes "human" so her protective body constitution as "camel" disappears.
And NO, she does not keep those feature while turning human because otherwise her sensitive parts and the like would also not change.
The fact that her sensitive parts changed to a human disposition means that everything below the skin must also have adapted in that way.
As such after turning into human form the girl should have started to freeze just as much as the male caretaker.
