We're already seeing how the manga is fixing the terrible legacy of the sequel anime. Kyururu wearing a proper diving costume, Sea Lion and Dolphin not being insufferable brats, actual fun being had with Serval's shenanigans, and a fulfilling conclusion where the sea duo feel satisfied with what they learned and experienced, rather than just being tossed aside like in the anime. What a massive improvement this chapter was over its equivalent in the anime. I still can't bring myself to like Kyururu since the wounds are still too deep, but with how massive an improvement the manga is, I almost expect that I'll not dislike him by the end.
