Every time I think this manga can't get any darker it just punches me in the gut. I thought Shiki's arc would be the darkest but I think this one topped it. Poor Yui, he tried so hard to protect his brother and was even willing to get abused for his sake. Those women are disgusting.
Seinen get lighter and fluffier so that adults can take a break from the harsh realities of life
Shounen get darker and darker so we can still get some of that good ol' edge back
Messed up, that's just too messed up. That village must be destroyed. That's all I have to say about it. @skytempest Right? I wonder if there'll be an even darker one one day, I can't really imagine what can top this one right now. And I agree, those women are fricking disgusting...
Now on to the brighter topics....
Kabane regenerates so quickly, even when only a head on fire is left! o3o
Hmm... the calculus fused...? I wonder what that means... Does it have the life or the nil calculus properties, or is it both... Or maybe a new power altogether? Or both plus a new power? Hm.. o3o
I hope the yuki bros can live happily together now ;--------
You know, when I first picked up this manga, I was moved by how harsh Kabane's life was and was really hoping this would be a story about how stuff gets better for him.
I didn't think several volumes later I'd be thinking Kabane actually got off lightly compared to the others...
Correct me if I am wrong, but if there's only one male to serve as the sperm donor for the whole village, doesn't that mean all the women are technically Yui and Akira's aunts, or even half-siblings?
