In grey's anatomy meredith said derrick was the love of her life but Cristina was her soulmate. Meredith wasn't attracted to Christine or looked at her in that way. She said they were soulmates cause they just got each other and understood one another perfectly. I think that's what the mc means about her feelings with sawakano.
