..... wasn't there 13 Choushin originally or was it always 12? I could sworn there were more choushin then 12 but I could be getting this series mixed up with Kengan Omega and Record of Ragnarok again.

Looking at previous chapters I'm counting 12.
But it could be 13 if you suspect that the pterodactyl is secretly a Choushin too.
