I love the communication they have in this series ;; and Kino telling Yano in the most natural mood possible "I can't tell my friends??? But all of them already know lol" was just EVERYTHING!!! It's been a while since I saw someone treating their relationship like that on a BL, so it's refreshing. i wish all LGBTQIA+ people can be just like that anywhere someday ;;

I don’t linger on teenagers having sex, so those chapters are pretty short for me, but the actual story here is adorable.
While I don’t like that he didn’t consult with his boyfriend before telling them about their relationship, I do like that he came out in some capacity and it went fine.
That has weight because homophobia is acknowledged as an issue. Too often everything is super closeted, or the fact that it’s a pressure on a sustained relationship.
This is a bit idealistic and silly, but I’m glad it’s there.
The bi erasure that is expressed here being openly addressed is great. This is what institutional homophobia does! “It’s easier for het relationships. You’ll eventually just go back to being straight.”
That’s not helped by stories where a guy IDs straight but is dating a guy. I saw one where they were married and at least one said “I’m straight, but”.
