It's nice that their relationship is somehow going relatively well and all now, maybe, I suppose, but it's certainly not by any accomplishment of that utter jackass. o_o;
I'm glad the nice and sensible gal slapped him, at least. The protagonist deserves better, though, too. All of the being genuine in this relationship is lying squarely on his shoulders. Not sure how much more of this constant medium-grade toxicity I can read.
Edit: And then the first page of the next chapter... yup, I'm done with this. I don't know how this will work out, because it's fiction and all, but can we just murder this guy and call this a "Tragedy"? ^^*
