Kiyo in Kyoto: From the Maiko House - Vol. 15 Ch. 156 - Connecting Memories

kiyo got a cooking power up from seeing that kenta’s a cook now :,)

also i very much like to think he became/applied for kitchen work since kiyo is a cook too!

How should we understand this ending? How is it that Kenta became as emotionless as Kiyo because that's how the magic of the kitchen works in this manga? Does it devour your personality?

Everyone is working hard now. Also feels interesting thinking all of them could have been in high school but don’t have to be.

aaaahhhhhhhhhhh i know this feeling v well!!!!!! good babies hardworking babies

@sjiveru His name is Nakanowatari Kenta. For the sake of readibility I've added a space between Nakano and Watari (and also because "Nakanowatari-kun" won't fit into the bubble)

First the Kiyo, now Kenta. The kitchen is stealing everyone from Sui. Who knew this slice of life was actually NTR in disguise.

@mootmar I see that I'm not the only one thinking that Kenta applying for kitchen job because of Kiyo 😍

I'm now wondering though, is he in summer break?? I don't think their hometown is close to Kyoto (or maybe it is, I dunno, I don't really know Japan's map lol)

Reminder that Japanese high school is not mandatory, just essential if you want to get into the educated workforce

This chapter and the translator’s note got a lot of things for me to consider, the pandemic left me jobless from my 9 year career in the airport. Been about half a year now and been living off my compensation pay and still got no idea what to do next for work.

How could it would be if one day Kenta and Kiyo open their own cafe in Kyoto and maybe Suu-chan will bring her patrons there

So Kenta IS a cook.

Oh, man, Maiko-san also felt like a manga kinda outta time--it feels surreal to see the author acknowledge the pandemic of only if only in his notes. Although that also means you guys catching up.

Simmered greens with eggs is one of my slap-an-egg-on-to-make-it-better dishes, I’m glad it actually has formal recognition.

Also that last page... Man, going out to a coffee shop. Miss that.
