Kodama Maria Bungaku Shuusei - Vol. 2 Ch. 12 - Maria Structure

God I love this manga. That was such a great chapter, from start to finish.

The chapter is made of the same set of panels iterated on over and over, just like the legos.

One of my old school friend's house where I used to hang out, his dad had like an entire Lego workshop. Guy would make all sorts of stuff and go to conventions. Look up "Great Ball Contraption" for some examples of the kinda stuff he'd work on.

Anyway, that dad was the only person I've ever met who insisted the correct plural of Lego was just "Lego," same as Pokemon or sheep or deer, or if you preferred, Lego bricks.
That's what this chapter reminded me of lol

She definitely doesn't know jack shit about what people do with lego...

I don't agree with the fact that words or lego are just rearrangements of the thoughts of their mutual creators but I guess the main takeaway is a remixing into something new?

I am no linguist but for me written language... Or language in general is layers of abstraction.
Thoughts into spoken language
and spoken language into written language.

Or take a shortcut so that written language represents thought. Speech was invented first the letters or symbols or pictograms of course.

I'm not so sure about the alphabet or any written language being a derivitive of the creator of the alphabet.
I just can't help but deny that I am missing some deeper meaning. She is just wrong.

(I was going to write an essay, but I forgot most of my thoughts before I could cement it into text.)
