@Choco_Pudding I think you are right, but I am also thinking it's 50/50 at best that he manages to figure it out.
On the other hand, even if he brings a cookie or something - it's still him bringing it, so maybe it'll work out anyway?

@Simpleton hmm, good point. Given how straight-forward and driven Komomo is, if he did show up with a pastry she would probably just hug him and say something to give away the answer.
My only concern is him not showing up, or doing something truly stupid and bringing Mitsuru...
But the manga looks like it's winding up for the big finale soon anyway, so maybe we'll just have a chapter or two of him brooding on it and when he does go - having figured it out or not - they'll finally get together.
