I love the older horned siblings they are so adorable and wholesome. Some more world building is nice and I wonder if they will go visit Mei's home village in order to meet the in-laws. Though wow I didn't even realize that was a horn Mei had I just thought that was a hair ornament she had gotten at some point since being "adopted" by her husband's family.

I had been thinking this was set in the past, but I'm more and more leaning toward the far future...

knowing the author I bet this universe is connected to the Centaur’s Worries one, through the multidimensional portals/fungus aliens/ancient antarctican tech god thing or something. The stone building is totally a gate and the giants came from another world or something. It does let me wondering about the Oni empire too...
