I actually feel this was really sad because the flowerbed was the only way he actually got real acknowledgement from others. You can see hes actually pretty lonely and just wants friends and is glad that people at least acknowledge him this way. Kinda make's me want to jump into this manga just to be his friend xD Its great Kubo-san is there for him now.
