Kuro no Senki: Isekai Ten’i Shita Boku ga Saikyou na no wa Bed no Ue dake no You desu - Vol. 1 Ch. 2.3

These characters are so straightforward. In Mahouka, we'd get exposition and worldbuilding, a gentle ebb and flow of character development... Here, we'll just burn your frickin house down. No proof in our accusation screw that we'll find proof. Appointed for loyalty during the emperor's rise to power... of course not, you were appointed as a form of bribe so you could become fat off unearned taxes, now you shall commit ritual suicide or else. Well, the characters are almost that straightforward. Extreme risk of death... well we'll do it anyway.

@QuietSnowy Firefox can screenshot by rectangular selection and download that selection as a file (and more). Click the ellipses button in the URL bar, then click "Take a screenshot". You can also click on items to have them auto-enclosed in a region. To avoid a sticky header from interfering in a screenshot, select, then scroll back up and save the shot by hitting Enter (probably not an issue on this website).

Looks like Machine Translation still has a ways to go... at least when translating Nihongo -> English.

@IdolTrust

@Kapow She used a skill called "Heaven's Door", which I assume teleported the MC to another building when he opened her door. The reason he turn away was to check the door to understand where he was.

Eh?

I read it as her using a skill or ability that got (probably poorly) translated into Heaven's Door to throw a feather quill so hard it stuck in the wooden door.
And the reason why she threw it was that he got called on an urgent meeting, but when he arrived (and she complained he was late) she (probably, translation/transcribing issues there too) said "I just wanted to meet you", so he turned around to leave (or pretend to leave, as part of their banter).

Am I the only one who doesn't get what the f*ck happening in this chapter? It feels freaking random and machine translation doesn't help it either.

@IdolTrust Probably either a complete trust in the machine translating for them (and only using one of those), or a complete lack of faith in their own ability to improve quality after the machine has done its thing (or just a disinterest in spending more time than the absolute minimum, but that's a bit weird. If they think the story is good enough to share, they should probably want the recipients to get it?).

@ohms It's a political drama. It feels a bit random because there was no particular foreshadowing and the entire arc is rushed through in a single chapter. But basically his friend came to visit and mentioned suspicions about the local lords embezzling, MC chatted with mino and got an important clue about where money might be leaving the system - and then the two of them shortcircuited the legal system (or just were very efficient, since I dunno about that worlds rules for due process are) by just going to a suitable beancounter and beating him up until he revealed where the undoctored books were (the ones showing where the money really went) and with such evidence and a ruler friend in the proximity, it was case closed and let's get on to the next part of the story XD

While the TL doesn’t help at times this chapter is constantly jumping all over the place. It feels like it’s missing more and more pages every chapter which doesn’t help that at the start it jumped straight in with no background of any sort.
