@Serenata The tension is indeed high. Will they rise to the occasion or get psyched out by the quality of the competition? But I liked what the old man said. "It's not like a band is only good if all the members are talented."
One of my all time favourite rock (broadly, more punk really) musicians didn't play an instrument in the band and was by most yardsticks a crappy singer. But Shane MacGowan brought the songs and the energy, he rocked out harder than anyone, and in the end it was like Leonard Cohen, you couldn't imagine any voice except his gravelly probably-drunk one singing the song.
