@PrivatePublic Don't forget that his speed stat is still at it's lowest. It was faster to fire that round off than to try and run over. She would have most likely been hit once if not twice in the time it would have taken him to get there. He made the right choice in not only reacting to what was happening but how he went about it cause with that guys arm now frozen, he can't use most of his power in the arm. In video games, what matters is not always the stats but the mechanics of the fight cause if you can't do those, it doesn't matter how strong you are and this can be applied here as well.
