LF specific post-apocalyptic manga

Some time ago I got a recommendation of a post-apocalyptic manga series, fairly recent. The story of a boy being escorted through the ruins of a decayed Japan by a girl with an energy pistol, and finding strange creatures along the way that could only be permanently killed weith the boy's unique ability. I can't find the article again, and forgot the name, though!

Does anyone know which one it might be?
