NovelUpdates is a catalog, I think OP suggests something more akin Baka-Tsuki: a place that actually hosts translations.
It's not a bad idea. BT removes anything that gets DMCA'd and a pain the ass to use. Besides, it's always nice to have an alternative.

A "NovelDex" is planned at some point - either integrated into the site or a separate sister site, perhaps.
