I also don't get George's issue, Ares may be lax but someday sh*t's about to go down or he can find someone better (like his future wife) to do his job. He can still be a knight, heck, I may be wrong, but isn't he also doing spy jobs flirting with women, regardless of what he does, he's still in danger. Only difference is he lost his job which revolve around weapons

I think... what made George is really desperate is. He hates being a knight(or anything else) in general, and only want to be psycho who play with weapons for fun. He was blatantly lying about his orders, a few chapters ago Welington already found out he ordered 2000 broadsword etc, and he lied hoarding a few hundreds for his own use. Since his swordmanship style is too free and messy, and he is a dual weapon wielder, so I guess he uses a much more crazy amount of weapons than even normal mofo needed.

So if Alicia took his job as the weapon manager + as the advisor, he was afraid his weapon source will be restricted really hard (need to get them out of his own pocket money) because thats what Wellington really want as well.
