Looking for a series

I'm looking for a series i used to love and i can't remember the name of it! It starts off with a a knight about to defeat a i think demon lord in the shape of a gaint skeleton. The knight kills him but in a plot twist, the main character was the demon lord! Before he dies, he use magic to transfer his soul to a compatible body in a different dimension. That dimension turns out to be modern day Tokyo, and the body he now has control of is a young boy who recently died by having his throat cut.

Does anybody remember this?
