Looking for isekai, tragedy and suffering?

I dislike the slow life that is prevalent in isekai story and OP protagonist. Also, I dislike most harem where the character is nothing but a collectible piece for the protagonist (the most basic criterion that must be passed, if you suggest harem story, is when they have actual character beyond loving the protagonist and not acting like the protagonist's yes-man). I want to read a story where the protagonist suffers again and again. Character death for those close to the protagonist is recommended, but not a requirement. I want the protagonist that gets broken and picks up the broken pieces of himself if any.
