i just read the first chapter, meant to make a note and forgot. Starts out with a kid1, I believe he gets bullied some but not major target. He witnesses the bully start to pick on a kid2 thinks he should do something but doesn't. The bully is nasty, a real piece of #@*!, not just the type who pushes you around and moves on. Can't remember the details but he makes kid2 do stuff that you don't recover from mentally. Later kid1 is walking home sees kid2 in an ally beating up the bully with a baseball bat. I think he kills him. They see each other, kid1 says something to basically let kid2 know he needs to flee and that he won't do anything. As kid1 is running away I remember kid1 thinks kid2 won't be able to get far. Obviously, not a light hearted manga. I think through out the story they reference past headlines(possibly real) where kids have committed suicide.
