the issue with series like this is how much they sexualize the young girls. There is no normal 12 year old that can pull off what she's doing in this manga. Legit since the beginning we've seen rando adults hitting on her. This could easily be a platonic and comfy series but the mc is a sexual deviant who fetishizes reptiles so I guess it's inevitable this kind of pairing is the result.
The girl is depressed and sad, looking for someone to have a connection with. Instead of sexualizing her, the guy should be helping her and forming a proper connection if he truly cares about her. Doesn't have to be a father role but since he already declared it, he's showing her that he does care about her which is good... but the sexual fantasies need to be toned down. I think the art is nice, the reptile premise is fun, and the girl is interesting. Hopefully the storyline takes a desirable direction and not something controversial
