her mom isn't cheating, she's divorced. This is a typical issue of having kids and then being divorced, a broken family isn't gonna be mended so easily. But this drama aspect seems kind of glossed over and the mc can't seem to relate to her so he only fetishizes her. quite sad actually

@Hamin well to be fair he doesn’t know anything about her outside of the pet store in fact if we only read chapter where both of the MC and her interacts we will also not know much about her problem. We’ll just know she’s a weird girl who seems to act mature for her own age. Unless you are some detective or has the ability of mind reading which the MC doesn’t have.

The conversation he had with his sister is just a way to make him better in helping her problem because obviously the little girl will try to open up to him for the next chapters and he has to follow the sister’s example and take it all in.

@Hades3x my comment was addressing an earlier comment who was suggesting the mom might be cheating so I was just clarifying. But yes, poor kid will feel hurt either way. It's a decent contrast the series has about her with her abnormal adult behavior and looks but normal childish feelings.

@ScarecrowB welp, the amount of time left and typical chapter length makes me wonder if this will be resolved decently at all. Ah well, I'm sticking it out for the ride.
