@pokefairy i think the difference is that maader is trying to brainwash her slaves and is fully aware of slaves being normal human beings while jamil straight up didn´t register even commoners as human beings, let alone slaves that have an even lower rank than them (it´s pretty obvious from how he rewarded everyone with a handful of corn whenever they did something good, just like how you´d reward a dog with a dog treat)
