@Walter_vi_Britannia mangaupdates list this as having 6 volumes out (and ongoing), and with about 10 chapters per volume we have another 30 just to catch up to raws, so safe to say any axe would still be well out of sight at this point

@Drakan There are 65 chapters (6 volumes), the series ended in January this year. I have a lot of reasons to suspect axing, including

and the fact that the new series by the same author is essentially a spiritual successor, and published by a competitor.
