@_DarkBeaT @Gambino apparently, the author wasn't originally planning to have that parallel universe ending, but his editor pushed him to add it in. He'd probably planned for his next series, UQ Holder, to be a direct sequel but instead had to place it in a parallel universe because of this. HOLY SHIT always fact check, guys. I was looking it up to check if what I remembered hearing was true, and NOPE. Apparently it was a legal issue of some sort that pushed him to cut the series short. MORE IMPORTANTLY, there's apparently a movie called “Mahou Sensei Negima!: Anime Final” WRITTEN BY THE AUTHOR HIMSELF that provides an alternate official ending to the manga! How come I've never heard of this?!
