Mai Ball! - Vol. 16 Ch. 106.1 - Good Game! (Part 1)

So they lost.....Props to the Author! If after everything and they could actually beat the Strongest Team(for now), then this manga is really going downhill for the LONG Expanse of the chapters.

After spending a year on one match only to lose, I guess it's about time for the manga to end with a fan service beach/bathhouse chapter and call it a day.

TBH, I had absolutely no clue what the score even was anymore for that match until the last chapter.

Anyway, they are all first years, unlike Kijinan. They still have time to go to the nationals.

A loss is a loss, it is true, but they gave a veteran and favorite team a run for their money this counts even if the loss hurts.

There are some things that must be addressed to, Reika insistence of them being only 11 is a problem too ( even if she did that because she didn't want a new player to disturb the harmony they finally created in the team ).

And about the bet with their school for Kunimitsu to stay in the team, if the school resolve to take him away from the girls' team because of this loss they are literally sabotaging a promising and talented team that could go to the regional finals in their first year, if they do that this would scream idiocy.

It's not that I'm mad that they lost, but it really pisses me off that it took so many fucking chapters for it to happen. I can't even remember who is who anymore. And I can't be bothered rereading it now that I know it ends up with a loss.

I have a feeling this will flow and read significantly better now that it's over. Like prod are saying and someone mentioned last chapter, it's not necessarily what happened it's how long it went on for.

The pain of this loss for me was overshadowed by the pain of the slow loading times due to the DDOS and cloudflare issues. That said, Kijikita definitely would've struggled to win regardless, but if they'd focused on recruiting more and making sure they had more than 11 players, I think they would've done a lot better.

Not having anyone fresh to sub in was bad, and on top of that, they could've tried to find new talent with skill that they didn't have, that could've complemented the ones that they did.

friendly reminder that kijinan's players have been playing soccer for ages, some of them their whole lives

kijikita girls have been playing... a few months

@nobaka Even worse. Despite only practicing for a few months, the true cause of their loss wasn't their inexperience in the sport, but actually their poorer physical conditioning.
