In comparison to Kino no Tabi and Mushishishi, Elaina is much more of a schemer tricking people for personal gain, but is also more easily tricked herself. She gets by on being cautious and maintaining distance compared to Kino's raw skill, but makes some fairly sound decisions despite her immaturity.
