Majo wa Mioji kara - Vol. 2 Ch. 9 - 9th Night: Witch Etiquette

Wait, she had a Boyfriend during World War One?

First question: does that mean she's not been single for 300 years?

Second Question: why does his plane look so advanced for the first world war? Also, how the fuck did he survive being a pilot

Third Question: what the fuck is a British airforce pilot doing in Japan during the first world war? Little far from the western front, my guy...

My hypothesis-she made it up to sound cool

If all 30 year olds looked like these people, getting dates wouldn't be an issue

Also,
>Tfw no cute single witch gf who's a massive nerd and works as an office lady in her 30s

Life fucking sucks, man

@Tamerlane I was assuming it wasn't a Brit in Japan, but rather the witch in Britain. Although Japan and Britain were allied in WW1, so it wouldn't be impossible for a British guy to be in Japan. You're right about the plane being too modern though, most WW1 planes were open cockpit (fun fact: "bombing runs" in WW1 basically consisted of chucking hand grenades out of the plane while flying low).

Also, I think "single" in this case means "unmarried", not "never dated"

It was established she moved to Japan slightly before the Meiji period, though Japan was only technically part of the allies as it allowed them to expand their imperial influence across the Pacific, as there was little direct interaction with them and the main fronts of the war in Europe and the Middle East. @Xitel

@Tamerlane Asian women tend to age really well. On the other hand, modern white women age really horribly. It isn't unheard of to see a white woman in their mid to late twenties that looks like they are forty years old.

Poor bartender. His instincts were right on the nose. :|

I thought she liked suffering but I guess she's still human(?) in the end
