MangaDex Awards?

Maybe at the end of the year, we could have a big user poll to vote for the winning manga in some select categories, like “Best Shoujo of the year”, “Funniest manga of the year”, “Best Isekai of the year”, etc. Maybe some more creative and unique awards than what I’ve written would be more fun.

So it’d be like the Crunchyroll Awards
but for manga
I dunno

And if a title won, you could give it a little icon that when you mouse over it, it tells you it won an MD award for ____ in 2020.

Why bother? Just run script on DB and pick manga with largest average reads per chapter. Because poll will show exactly same result :/

And I feel like the results of a vote might vary from just the stats.
I was thinking like, take a small sample of nominees through stats, but let the user base vote for the final victor!

I don't really know... Maybe more than just manga even. Like "best daughter" or "best demon king" or something like that lol
