Maou Desu. Onna Yuusha no Hahaoya to Saikon Shita no de, Onna Yuusha ga Giri no Musume ni Narimashita. - Vol. 3 Ch. 26

convenient but nice to see the dead EX come back and just kinda pass the torch, I wonder how the Dead Father visit will be.

That's hella weird. Could have actually been cool if it was just a one-time meeting. But she's legit just there now. You can hardly even consider her "dead" at this point. How is Galtor supposed to move on if he can always talk with her whenever he wants? Such a strange idea.

@Aretheus I was thinking the same thing. It would have been better if it was a one time apparition and then gone for good.

@Aretheus yeah. Not only is she constantly there, immortal and bound to a dull dead location with nothing but boredom. But she also always was constantly there, so every grave-visit she decided "nah, I dont want to meet my ex" up until this day when she finally can say "finally, I can get rid of the dood by hoisting him onto someone else". And not only that, as she is alive the marriage was never annulled, meaning he has actually not only cheated on her without her knowledge, but also legally ended up marrying someone without her prior consent.

Also, rather poor writing to make the gem that has prior been established to not have any such use despite being what is left upon death, suddenly gain a use for persisting past death etc.

@Aretheus
youve hit the nail on the head, this better not turn into a develpment where she actually gets a body to come back into.

>it's rude to be sad when seeing the spirit of your DEAD WIFE
Oh fuck off, Angelica.

So the demon King has a virtual harem currently, and this opens the possibility of an actual harem which could rope in the other one as well.

Maybe it like Bon, where she can only visit once a day on the day of spirits or something... otherwise that kinda depressing

This kind of development ruins the whole "Move on" concept the plot was selling us in the beginning.

even in a perfect world where your dead wife is somehow perfectly fine with seeing your new wife, not feeling sad or jealous, and literally encouraging them to sleep together....this is kinda weird, especially since like others have said, she's just there now?
its....too avoidant of conflict, theres gotta be some mental struggle dealing with this in one of their heads.

but man could you imagine how laughably different this would be in real life?

Yeah, this whole chapter smelled like typical LN contrivance. Like, the author went back on the issue that made the series unique in the first place.

I mean, if this is the case, what about Reitia‘s dead husband? What does he think of the whole situation?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this is super weird. Like, how depressing is it to be stuck at a grave for presumably the rest of eternity? Why is freeing her soul not the #1 priority here? Geeze, it's practically terrifying.
