Why are the three stooges allowed to arbitrarily decide the war must be 3v1 and that mc can't ask his allies to help? Feels very arbitrary for things to work that way, and would let ppl pick off anyone they dislike even if they have a much much stronger faction. Just tell him "we declare war, 500 of us vs you alone. So you can't use your alliance pacts to make it 500v9999 instead!", and he will die without being able to do anything.

@feha the explanation was thrown with the manga adaptation, there's normally a little negotiation with one of them first and procell decided to take the 3 of them himself.

@feha Well, in addition to Lynkaster's explanation, there is the fact that the demon lords older than them cannot attack them without provocation for one year. Which means that Marco and Time dude are not allowed to help him, leaving Stolas as his only potential ally.
So the two of them could join forces to trash those randoms. I think the only reason why they don't is because MC is confident he can win alone.
For the older characters, they do have alliances for obvious reasons. The younger generation has fewer connections (one of the reasons why they are protected by the rules).

It's explained that all of the new children have to partake in a war, so they kinda have a time limit.

Basically their Creator didn't put much thought into the rules until now and this will be the first declared war that isn't a 1v1.
Although the rules are so lax you can technically just ask your friend to be inside your dungeon when the war starts thus making it fair.

Zagan [Steel] contacts Creation that he might be a war target of his. Zagan explains in the pub that he is allied with two other demon lords and will attack with them together to demolish Creation. Zagan suggests instead that he gets Creations support and double crosses the other two in exchange for something ... sadly I forgot the exact terms, creation refuses so Zagan calls the other two to teleport to the pub and they all declare on Creation right then and there.
