I think "dragonewt" was translated as demi-dragon last chapter.
The other world they were talking about was the game world.
Kunai Hakuto is the name of the Demon King in the game and the character the MC is summoned as.

@chilzhul I thought he was in his game world (or a world similar to it). So he was transferred to a third world completely different from the game and his original world then?

yep they dont know what his alt character was and since he was talking about escaping a dragon and that shit, they think he's the leader of the dragons, or dragonnewt was translated as demi-dragon last chapter, so yeah they are just confusing themselves

A downward trend. A mess of characters and plot points all crammed in, and while the translation admirably tries to convey the differences in tone and personality, it ends up a garbled mess.
They just fled the cultist attack on the saint and her entourage, so when did those adventurer's begin tailing them? How did the Maou rumor spread so suddenly when Maou disguised himself with the hot-blooded persona? Was it from the bandits earlier? Either way he was defending a revered holy woman, but everyone is just going to ignore how that's inconsistent with being a Demon Lord? We saw a demon, a fiend Lord was it, earlier and the bandits also laughed that Maou looks nothing like a Demon Lord but and ordinary human. Regardless the rumor persists.
Last it's unclear still what Maou is. A admin of the game is reincarnated as the Maou character and other NPCs recognize him that way but the way it's presented first it's a player character but then the last boss of the game? His powers are limited by the ingame skill points system for players but he can also transform into player characters he created that seem to lack that handicap?
There's the trinity of angels/gods that seem to be responsible for summoning Maou with the cultists, and one of them died leaving behind that talking ring which seems to take control of Maou occasionally but he doesn't seem too concerned about it. Regarding that pantheon, some are alive, some dead, some degenerated into demons themselves by fulfilling human wishes? It's all kinds of vague and unclear.
Last the author's fashion sense is bland and lazy. A long coat with a tie and white collared shirt for Maou. A school uniform for the saint, and a modern formal gown and labcoat for his scientist assistant. It's not fantasy and it's not ironically chuuni, it's just boring.
