Marking an on-going manga as "Completed"

So, up until now I've never really followed any manga because I didn't know that was a thing until a week ago. Turns out if you follow a manga after you've read some chapters it wont register as being read. Now I have a bit of an OCD problem and this kind of thing really triggers it so I thought what if I just marked all the manga that I've read that is still on-going as "Completed" because it automatically marks all the chapters as read.

So I'm just asking if I mark an on-going manga as "Completed" and a new chapter comes out, does it change the "Completed" mark that I previously put it to as "Reading"?

No. If you mark it as completed means you are done with it and wont show updates

Welp, guess I gotta do it all manually then :/ thanks btw

Supposedly, they are adding a "Read All" feature so you can mark all the unread chapters with one click eventually.
